Telefónica Germany turns to Netcracker



The software company announced that Telefónica Germany is deploying an updated version of its revenue management product that will simplify and accelerate the rating and billing processes for the operator's B2B operations.

In a statement, Netcracker explained that the deal builds on a longstanding relationship with Telefónica Germany and that the renewal of its core services contract will enable the operator to continually optimise the performance of the revenue management set-up.

Netcracker product information explains that its revenue management product is based on a single, converged, platform and can assist operators in accessing new revenue streams by monetising LTE, VoLTE, cloud-based and virtualisation services.

The upgraded product runs across Telefónica Germany's hardware and databases, which Netcracker stated enables the operator to significantly improve the delivery of its B2B services and, in turn, improve the customer experience.

Telefónica Germany's B2B customer base comprises at least 48 million accesses, Netcracker said. The software company added that the BSS upgrade will enable the operator to quickly introduce new services to those customers.
